Camera & Mic Set Up

Your camera and microphone choices will be a function of what browser you're using, and whether or not it supports HTML5 and/or Adobe Flash.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GOOGLE CHROME & FIREFOX BROWSERS:

When you visit our mock interview practice area in Google Chrome and Firefox, you will likely be prompted in your browser to permit Big Interview to access your webcam and microphone.

That alert may look something like this:

Click "Allow" and your webcam should start up. If it doesn't visit the support article here.

APPLE OSX 10.11 (or later) / SAFARI 11 (or later) - INSTRUCTIONS

To record in Safari you must use the Flash recording tool.

If you're in the mock interview screen (and it doesn't support HTML5), you might see something like:

Click the slider toggling from HTML5 to Flash.

Since the Flash plugin will likely be disabled by default, you'll need to enable it.

Follow these step-by-step instructions directly from Adobe to enable Flash:

https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/enabling-flash-player-safari.html

Once you've enabled Flash, refresh your browser on Big Interview. Your screen will then look like this (see below), and you'll want to click "Allow" in the Flash plugin permission box, and you should be ready to start recording.
