# System Requirements

Big Interview Medical is a cloud-based platform designed to provide a high-performance training and recording experience. To ensure your video interviews and lessons run smoothly, please ensure your system meets the following updated requirements.
### Web Browsers
For the best experience and full recording functionality, you must use a **stable, official release** of the following browsers.
* **Google Chrome:** (Highly Recommended) Latest version.
* **Mozilla Firefox:** Latest version.
> **Important:** **Safari and Microsoft Edge are not supported.** Using unsupported browsers or development versions (Alpha/Beta/Nightly) may result in errors during the recording process.
### Operating Systems
We support modern operating systems that receive regular security and performance updates:
* **Windows:** Windows 10 or later.
* **macOS:** macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later.
* **Linux:** Any current, stable distribution (e.g., Ubuntu or Fedora).
### Hardware & Connection Specifications
Recording high-quality video requires adequate processing power and a stable internet connection.
* **Processor (CPU):** Dual-core processor or better (e.g., Intel i5 or equivalent).
* **Memory (RAM):** 4GB minimum (**8GB recommended**).
* **Camera & Audio:** 720p (HD) or higher webcam and a functional microphone.
* **Internet Speed:**  **Minimum:** 3 Mbps upload speed.
* **Recommended:** 10 Mbps download/upload speed for the smoothest experience.
### Mobile and Tablet Usage
While you can access the platform via mobile web browsers to view content, **in-browser recording is not supported on mobile or tablet devices.**
* **The Big Interview Mobile App:** You can download our dedicated app to watch lessons and complete specific practice features.
* **Where to find it:** Search for "Big Interview" on the **Apple App Store** (iOS) or the **Google Play Store** (Android).
* **Limitations:** The mobile app does not currently support full platform functionality. Tasks such as completing assignments, editing transcripts, or utilizing **VideoAI** (if available for your organization) must be completed on a desktop or laptop.
### Additional Recommendations
* **Browser Permissions:** Ensure you have granted the browser permission to access your camera and microphone when prompted.
* **Extensions:** Ad-blockers or script-blockers can sometimes interfere with recording. If you experience issues, try disabling them or whitelisting the Big Interview domain.
* **Pre-Interview Test:** We strongly encourage all users to test their recording and playback capabilities before beginning an official session.
* **External Mic Test:** If you need to verify your microphone's functionality outside of our platform, you can use [Online Mic Test](https://www.onlinemictest.com) to confirm your device is picking up sound correctly.
